HPT Golden Gates Day 2 Starts at Noon, Ryan Van Sanford Leads the Way

After four starting flights and 787 entries, and the second-largest HPT Golden Gates ever, it's time for Day 2 of the HPT Golden Gates $1,650 Main Event. Ryan Van Sanford starts the day with the chip lead, holding 468,500; a stack he bagged in Day 1a.

Van Sanford leads a field of 162  that includes Allen "The Chainsaw" Kessler (69,500). Kessler made it through in the final flight, after busting late in the each of the previous starting flights. Kessler is a former HPT Player of the Year who has over $3.3-million in career tournament earnings.

Jamie Kerstetter

Jamie Kerstetter also bagged in Day 1d, after busting relatively early in the previous flights. She finished with 92,500. Kerstetter has earned just under $600,000 in tournament winnings. She cashed in six WSOP events this summer and she is seeking her first HPT cash.

The levels are 60 minutes up from the 40-minute levels during the starting flights. The action is just getting underway at HPT Golden Gates. Check in for all the updates as the HPT moves one step closer to crowning it's latest champion.
