Chip leader, chip leader? Wherefore art thou, chip leader?
Ok, wherefore means "why," but the fact still remained: Dan Trush, coming in as the Day 2 chipleader with 513,500 in chips (120K over Andreas Ramadanis), was a no-show for the first level of play today.
As it turns out, he flew in to Denver at 5PM yesterday and registered during the dinner break. In the remaining levels of Flight D, Dan tripled up and took a commanding chip lead over the field.
Needless to say, Dan took his time showing up today to likely get rested for the long day of play ahead. He took his seat about 5 minutes into Level 17 and currently is sitting with 450,000 in chips.
(Side note: he just returned from the scheduled break and offered the HPT crew a box of doughnuts. I'm really beginning to like this job.)
