2 From Bottom to $6,863

Mike Puccio began Day 2 play two places from the bottom of the 71-player-long leaderboard with just 10BB.

An early triple-up pushed him to more than 120,000, then a slow grind down to 55k on the money bubble. He doubled on the bubble by rivering a full house and getting Darrell Haywood to call his final bet.

That stack grew to nearly 750,000 just after the redraw, but the end came when he hit a 7-high straight, only to have now-chipleader Tom Morse go Eight-high on Puccio.

The $6,863 cash was quite the accomplishment considering the starting point, but Puccio had his sights set on the final table and more.

David Coffman was out in 16th ($5,376) a few hands before Puccio, and Scott Sisler just went out in 14th ($6,863) as I was writing this up.
