But It Could've Been Worse
David Olson (left) min-raised from the shotgun to 4,800 and got 3 callers, one of them being the man on his left, Dana Mays, who is proudly sporting his fossil for eliminating former @HPTPoker Player of the Year Greg Raymer. On the JJ5 flop it was Mays, however, that led at the pot for 6,000 after the first 2 players checked. Olson was the only man to stick around for the turn which was a 10. This time it was Olson who fired out for 20K, but Mays min-raised to 40K. David thought it about for a few seconds and confirmed the amount with the dealer before making the call. A third jack came up on the river and Olson decided to slow down. A disappointed Mays checked behind and was disgusted to see Olson turn over QQ. Dana's TT had been counterfeited by a gruesome last card. The pot made Olson the newest member of the 300,000-chip club just in time for players to begin the final level of the evening.
