Jim Garr was not happy when he put his last 183,000 in the middle and saw his AdQd was up against table chip leader Mark Roberts's AhKh. A 6 came in the window, followed by an ace... and then a queen! A fantastic reversal for Garr who was poised to double up. The Ts on the turn gave Roberts a few more outs. He called for the jack. He didn't get it. But he was happy to settle for the king. A higher two pair on the end eliminated Garr in disgust.
Then after hanging on for dear life for the better part of the last 2 hours, Patricia Robinson put her last 3 big blinds into the middle with Ac5c. Jonathan Love was up next and re-raised to 150K to isolate and, after everyone folded, revealed his pocket 7's. A flopped set had Robinson halfway out the door, but the turn put 4 cards to a J-high straight and gave her chop outs. The gutshot didn't come and after finishing 20th last year, Robinson finished 19th in a sparkling display of consistency. We're now down to 2 tables and up a level, the final one before dinner break.
