Annette Obrestad, the 2007 WSOP Europe Main Event champ, joined the field before the first break and almost immediately got involved in a sizable pot for her whole stack.
Obrestad opened to 1,000, Louis Laxineta called on immediate left and the blinds released. The flop came Qc Tc 4s, Obrestad check-called 1,000 and the turn came 7s. Obrestad checked. Laxineta bet 1,500 and Obrestad called after a short pause.
The river came 5s, Obrestad checked and Laxineta bet 5,000. Obrestad though for a bit, peered over to look at Laxineta's stack and tanked for a bit more. While she was thinking, she took a second longer look at what Laxineta had behind.
Obrestad raised to 13,800 and Laxineta shoved for around 22,000 - which would have been the rest of her stack. Obrestad took a bit longer to think, stared at Laxineta for a bit but ultimately folded.
