Everett Lawrence (pictured) made a deep run at an HPT event on the other side of the state just over a year ago. Lawrence, who goes by "Gravel Man", finished 6th in that Ameristar St. Charles event for a $20,391.
The Indiana man is hoping to improve on that finish here in Kansas City this weekend. He just took a small chunk from the chip leader to put himself in a good position to advance to Day 2.
