As we posted earlier, only ten players advance from today's field of 110. However, 13 make the money. Today's 11th place finisher will take home $700 for their efforts while 12th and 13th will earn $600.
Gary Schwartz just stone bubbled when he pushed the last of his chips (under 10 big blinds) in with pocket sevens. Justin Kohnen (pictured) made the call out of the blinds with king-queen.
The flop brought a queen, putting Schwartz on the brink of elimination. He was unable to hit one of the remaining sevens in the deck. Gary Schwartz is today's 14th-place finisher. Kohnen is up over 300k. That's good for the chip lead in today's flight at the moment.
The remaining 13 players are guaranteed a minimum of $600. Once we lose three more players, the final ten will bag-n-tag for Sunday's Day 2. Now that the money bubble has popped, we expect to lose those three fairly quickly.
