Scotty Nguyen continues his birthday weekend celebration by bagging a 160,000 stack. Corey Zedo steamrolled the last few levels to earn 225,000 chips for Sunday. HPT Black Hawk runner-up Mark Morris moves 344,000 on to Sunday, and last year's 8th place finisher, Carlos Guerrero, bagged 247,000.
Among those whose Main Event came to a close by not being able to find a Day 2 bag today was reigning HPT PLayer of the Year Ari Engel, defending champ Ben Scroggins, 2016 champ Jermaine Gerlin, Jason Mangold, Cory Waaland, Rob Manjura, Chris Hoagland, Rich Dixon, Toni Fiorenza, Darryl Ronconi, Ross Guthrie and Angie Vu.
