Ron Rindone Tops 19 Day 1A Survivors

The first Day 1 flight of the Ameristar East Chicago Main Event drew 109 entrants and after 15 levels of action the field was trimmed to 19 players. Topping the chip counts is Ron Rindone - who nearly 10x'd his stack in the final three levels of the night.

Joining Rindone at the top of the counts are Kevin McGee and Jordan DeGrenier. Biagaio Paladino, Rashad Ibrahim and Shiva Dudani also advanced to Sunday's Day 2 field.

Mark Morris looked to be the end of the day chip leader returning from the last break of the night, but he ran into several coolers - three two-outers - and he was eliminated before the end of action.

Friday's Day 1B flight kicks off at 2 pm and Saturday's flight gets going a little earlier with a noon start. But Sunday is the earliest starting time with cards hitting the air at 11 am.
