Mangold's Day Ends in Cooler Fashion


We've seen huge swings in the chipstack of Jason Mangold at many a @HPTPoker Main Event. Today, his stack was on a steady climb from when he arrived early in Level 4 basically all the way to the dinner break.

Then Level 11 happened.

Craig Casino took all but 55,000 of Mangold's stack in a single hand. That didn't tone down Mangold's aggressiveness, it caused a ramping-up as he searched to get chips back.

Defending February HPT Black Hawk champion Mike Englert opened for 5,600, drew one caller, then Mangold moved in for just shy of 60,000.

Englert hesitated a moment, then counted out calling chips, The third player immediately groaned and didn't take long before folding.

Mangold had been showing an exceptionally wide range of cards throughout the day today, but this time he turned up Kd Kc.

Well, you see, what happened was ... Englert showed  Ah Ac

2h 8d  4c Ts Qs went the board and Mangold's stack went from 355,000 to zero in less than a level, with Englert now approaching 200,000.
