HPT Player of the Year Race Update
The Heartland Poker Tour Season XV Player of the Year winner will take home a prize package that includes $10,000 worth of buy-ins at Main Events next year, and hotel accommodations at up to six different stops. Previous winners of the award include Greg Raymer, Ari Engel, Shawn Roberts, Aaron Massey, Allen Kessler, and last year's HPT POY Aaron Johnson.
The current leaders in this year's race are Nick Pupillo (pictured) and Nick Davidson. They both hold 140 points. Bill Byrnes (130), Shawn Roberts (118), and Mike Sabbia (105) round out the top five.
Pupillo won HPT Black Hawk back in February to charge up the leader board, and Davidson was the HPT Ameristar Casino East Chicago champion in January. Follow along with the POY race down the homestretch to see which player joins this elite group of HPT honorees.
