PATEL OPENS A BIG LEAD
A huge pot over at Table 21 pushed Hiresh Patel to the top of the chipcount leaderboard just before Level 6 began here in Day 1B of the @HPTpoker Columbus $1,650 Main Event.
Patel hit his flush draw to not only crack Aces but also eliminate a player with two pair, according to tablemate Cotton Snuffer. The pot pushed Patel to 150,000.
A few hands later he saw 20k of that go over to Britt Hayes, however, as Hayes picked up Kings and Patel tried to get there again with a flush draw.
Patel moved all in with on the flop and Hayes called off his remaining 17,900 stack.
The turn gave Patel an open-ended straight draw as well, but the river - pairing his 3 - didn't help.
Level - 6
Ante - 500
Blinds - 200/500
Entries - 134
