Last time Ameristar East Chicago hosted an HPT event was back in January. The $1,650 Main Event of that series drew 554 entries and created a total prize pool of $797,760. Nick Davidson came out on top for a $178,709 payday.
Though Davidson isn't in the field for Flight A today, the second and third-place finishers are and they're seated right next to each other. Mike Sabbia (pictured left) finished second in that January event for a $110,402 score while Jordan DeGrenier (pictured right) took third for $72,357.
We haven't seen the two tangled up in a hand together yet today but we'll keep an eye on the situation. Andrew Campbell finished fifth in January. He is also playing today, one table over from Sabbia and DeGrenier.
Players will take their first 15-minute break of the day at the end of this level.
