Brendan Shiller torched the field in the final 90 minutes tonight to bag the top stack in the fourth and final starting flight in the @HPTpoker $1,650 East Chicago Main Event.
Shiller's 518,000 stack is the largest bag of the 29 players advancing from today's flight, and goes in to Monday's Day 2 Restart as the overall top stack of the 96 remaining players.
Blake Whittington put on a late surge to bag a 365,000 stack, with Bret Martin's 295,000 rounding out the top three. Former HPT East Chicago champs Nick Pupillo (281,000) and Jake Baumgartner (113,000) also found a Day2Bag today.
Among the players whose HPT East Chicago Main Event came to an end today without finding a Day2Bag was Kennii Nguyen, Aaron Massey, Greg Raymer, Will Givens, Kenna James, Mike Kamenjarin, Ralph Massey, Mike Puccio, Mike Sabbia, Steve Fox, Hiroaki Harada, Ala Aqel, Cody Brinn, Mike Rieck, Garrett Riley, David Gutfreund, Keith Thurman and Todd Sladek.
Here's the final 29 players - from a starting field of 153 - moving on to Monday's 11am Day 2 Restart.
