Rick Blythe continually chipped up for the six levels after dinner break, wrapping up tonight as the @HPTpoker @StLouisPokerHC Day 1C chipleader.
Blythe - at 531,000 - is followed at the top of the Day 1C chipcount leaderboard in the $698,400 prize pool event by Jason Darland at 438,000 and Blair Hinkle at 395,000.
A back-to-back champion is still a possibility as March HPT St. Louis winner Bill Byrnes successfully managed a short-stack all day long, bagging up 119,000 after a late double.
Craig Casino, aka Mr. HPT, No. 1 on the All-Time HPT Money List, advances with a 236,000 stack.
Among those who came out for Day 1C but saw their HPT St. Louis Main Event come to an end was Dennis Phillips, Lily Kiletto, Grant Hinkle, Mike Sabbia, Craig Welko, Wendy Freedman, Grag Radosh, Chris Tryba, Greg Wood, Shawn McCracken, Jeff Fielder, Jeff Copeland, Roger Campbell and Mike Reick.
Here's the final chipcounts for the 4x players - from a starting field of 261 - moving on to Sunday's 11am Day 2 Restart.
