May HPT East Chicago champ Chris Moon was eliminated a few minutes later in 42nd place, also cashing for $3,282.
Byrnes moves to 140 points in the Season XV Player of the Series race, currently tied for 6th with Spenser Cramer. Moon moves to 146.5 points, now in 4th, one-tenth of a point ahead of Mike Sabbia.
Greg Wood (3rd, 152,5) did not cash here in St. Louis, while the top two players on the leaderboard - Nick Pupillo (203.7) and Nick Davidson (163.8) are still in the HPT St. Louis Main Event.
Winner of this event is going to earn 130 Player of the Year points.
