HANER CORECTLY MUCKS KINGS PREFLOP
PokerTwitter explodes often with the "Can you fold Kings preflop?" question.
Bill Haner says yes, and he was right today in the @HPTpoker @StLouisPokerHC $698,400 prize pool main event.
Haner opens to 15,000 and chipleader Lisa Morrow-McBride bumps it all the way to 100k. With 360k total, Haner is facing not just a massive 3-bet preflop, but he's holding Kings - and this call is, well, there's no call, it is Muck-or-Jam time.
Haner asks the time-honored, "Show if I fold?" question, but receives a negative shake of the head from Morrow-McBride.
A bit more time passes, and Haner mucks Kings, face-up.
McBride changes her mind and shows she has Aces. One hand later, McBride eliminates yet another player and becomes the first person to surpass a 1,000,000 stack.
Morrow gets rewarded four hands later for his fold, as he doubles through Gyan Gurung, jamming the river for 225,000 with KQ on a J-K-2-J-K board, Gurung calling the all-in with A-8.
