SIPIOL LEADS DAY 1A HPT EAST CHICAGO FIELD

Daniel Sipiol took over the chiplead from Ruslan Sladkov right as play wrapped up, posting the top chipcount from Day 1A in the @HPTPoker $1,650 East Chicago Main Event.

Sipoil bagged 367,000 as TopStack with Sladkov coming in at 291,000. Ed Sebesta (253,000), Brendan Shiller (216,000) and Brian Gabriel (213,000) round out the top three stacks from the 20 players bagging a stack tonight.

The pace was rather pedestrian after dinner break, with 20 percent of the field advancing to Sunday. That's a number normally only posted by the final flight of a HPT Main Event, with earlier flights playing much deeper.

Among the players who came out for Day 1A but did not earn a Day2Bag was Chris Moon, Mike Shin, Jake Baumgartner, Aaron Johnson, Craig Casino, Aaron Massey, Ralph Massey, Jake Bazeley, Ravi Raghavan, Artem Zverkhovskyy, Todd Sladek, Keith Thurman, Greg Baird, Matt Shepsky, Mike Esquivel, Jeff Halcomb and Jim Kasputis.

Here's the final Day 1A chipcounts for the 20 players - from a starting field of 103 - advancing to Sunday's 11am Day 2 Restart.
