TELEVISED POKER IN OHIO

This weekend @HollywoodCbus will host the first televised poker event in Ohio history. The @HPTpoker $1,650 Main Event kicks off with the first of three starting flights Thursday at 2pm. Flights B and C are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, both noon starts. The tournament has a $500,000 guarantee.

All players who enter will receive a 30,000 chip starting stack. The tournament features a big blind ante format and Day 1 blinds are 40 minutes each. Late registration and re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 for each flight. Play will continue until 15 full levels are completed or until 13% of the field remains, whichever comes first. A detailed tournament structure and additional details can be found here.

All players who advance through their respective flights will bag-n-tag their chips and return to the felt for Day 2 at 11:00am Sunday. Blind levels are increased to 60 minutes for Day 2. Play will continue Sunday until the field has been whittled down to the final nine players. Those nine come back Monday to play down to a winner under the bright lights of HPT's televised set. Monday's final table will stream at twitch.tv/hptpoker with hole cards and commentary from Jaymz Larson and Dom Seibert.

The series at Hollywood Columbus began over a week ago. The opening $350 Monster Stack event saw an impressive 755 entries, more than doubling the $100k guarantee. Other side events like the Seniors, Mixed Game, and Tag Team events were also well attended.
